Dhenkanal, Mar 20: In a major breakthrough, a special squad of Dhenkanal police arrested two accused who were involved in the murder of Mayadhar Pradhan of Dhenkanal District, yesterday.
Identified as Ranjan Behera and Ambaj Das of Dhenkanal, the accused had allegedly killed Mayadhar Pradhan over a political enmity during the Holi celebrations.
As of reports, Mayadhar was not involved in any type of politics or even had any links but his brother worked as an activists for a party and in meantime had picked up a fight with the workers of another party during the recently ended elections. Leading to it, Mayadhar and his brother had lodged a complaint at the police station.
Notably Mayadhar was beaten to death near Koseida square on 13th of March, while he was returning home. Following to this, Dhenkanal police had registered a case after a complaint was filed by his brother.
