Cuttack, Mar 22: Odisha Cricket team Captain, Govind Poddar has been selected in the India Red team for playing for the Deodhar Trophy. The India Red team with India Blue and Vijay Hazare Trophy winner, Tamil Nadu will battle it out for the Deodhar Trophy starting from Mar 25.
Govind Poddar belongs to Rourkela. He has scored 471 runs in 9 matches in the current Ranji Trophy season along with a century and 2 half centuries. Being an off spinner, he has also taken 10 wickets. In the Vijay Hazare trophy, Poddar scored 359 runs in 6 matches with 2 centuries and 2 half centuries.
