PM congratulates Sudarshan Patnaik for entering Guinness Book of Records

New Delhi / Bhubaneswar, Mar 24: For sculpting the world’s largest sandcastle of about 14.84 meter on Puri Beach and getting into the books of Guinness World Records, Prime minister Narendra Modi has congratulated internationally acclaimed sand artist from Odisha, Sudarshan Patnaik.

Patnaik who met Narendra Modi at Delhi, presented him a photograph of the Sculpture, that he created on 10th of February.

Twitting his happiness, Patnaik said, “It’s such a proud privilege to meet and present my of world tallest sand castle to Hon Sir today.”

Notably, the Castle took 45 students and 9 days for its completion. It’s base is measured with a circumference of 530ft. Patnaik, with this sculpture broke the earlier record of Ted Siebert of USA, whose sand castle stood 13.97 m high at the Virginia Key Beach, in Florida.
