Khurda, Mar 31: Today morning group of criminals attacked and killed a youth over past enmity near Badapokharia here. The name of the youth is Chitrasena Jena of Badapokharia village. It’s stated that the miscreeants attcked Jena using sharp weapon that ultimately led to Jena’s death. The attackers also shot one of his hands. A bike and a pair of sandals have been found near the youth’s body. The family members of Jena have alleged that Jena had left home at around 4 am on Friday on his bike and was killed by a particular gang of miscreants. Upon being informed, the local cops reached the spot and began investigation. In the meantime, the outraged locals staged road block on NH-16 but the cops manged to dissuade them from doing so after they gave the locals gave them an assurance that the criminals will be arrested soon. As per sources, the cops will be deployed at the village and they will be there to maintain law and order in the village. In the past few days, number of political violence instances such as bomb hurling have been occurred in Badapokharia area.
