April 2: With the hottest news of the day wobbling around, PV Sindhu, the badminton sensation and India’s Olympic silver medallist has today won the India Open World Superseries badminton championships 2017 finals beating Spanish Olympic Champion Carolina Marin. The match saw a great rise in score, where Sindhu outstandingly bagged both the sets on her side with scores 21-19 & 21-16.
Sindhu’s dominance over the game through the entire match got her the Superseries title win for the second time.
Notably, Sindhu, who entered the finals of the series after beating Saina Nehwal and South Korean shuttler, Sung Ji-Hyun, today played Marin, which was a repeat of the 2016 Rio Olympics final, where Marin stole the Gold with his eye catching performance.
