Bhubaneswar, Apr 17: Though after an initial warning by the Met department about the cyclonic storm Maarutha, seems the windy storm touched the capital quite early, yesterday, damaging properties all around.
In the view, the Biju Patnaik International Airport seems has suffered quite a loss after the heavy winds hit the capital. As of reports, the front departure gate glass panel was completely shattered, along with the bullet proof glass over the security personnels’ booth also broke.
Not only this, one of the body scanners-metal detectors was also damaged in the event.
But notably, no casualties or injured have been recorded.
