Rairakhol, May 3: Today the Maa Lakshmi Pratibeshi Mahila Samiti is observing a dawn to dusk bandh thus wanting the completion of a piped water supply project. The bandh has disrupted daily lives here in Sambalpur. All establishments are shut down and transportation has been stopped for the day. In fact locals here along with all civil society groups have supported the bandh.
Notably, the piped water supply project had begun five year ago and is still halfway. The project had been inititaed to supply the Mahanadi water to the town.
On the other hand, women of Ward number-6 in Bolangir in protest broke earthen pots ahead of the Public Health Department Executive Engineer’s office.
