Bhubaneswar: May 19: Commissionerate Police nabbed a person from Gujarat in connection with the death threat to Actor-turned Politician Anubhav Mohanty. The accused was identified as Kalia Barik.
Barik, the resident of Khallikote area, was staying at Jhanjirmangala area in Cuttack in a rented house.
BJD’s Lok Sabha candidate from Kendrapara Anubhav Mohanty had registered a complaint at Purighat Police Stattion.
As reported, Anubhav Mohanty had allegedly received a death threat on April 30.
An unidentified miscreant had asked the parliamentarian for Rs. 10 lakh via a WhatsApp message and threatened to kill him, in case the latter fails to pay the amount.
