Puri: July 14: Unidentified miscreants murdered three persons of a family at Patnaikia square in Odisha’s Puri district today. The incident occurred near Pattnaikiya chhak on Puri-Bhubaneswar main road in the afternoon in presence of several people.
The reason behind this murder is yet to be ascertained. But, sources said, the incident was an outcome of previous enmity within their family over a family dispute.
The miscreants were armed with sharp weapons.
After getting information, Puri Police reached the spot and a search is on to trace them.
Locals have staged protest and blocked the Bhubaneswar-Puri highway.
Bodies were seized and sent for autopsy to Puri district headquarters hospital.
