CUTTACK, SEPT 25: The India-South Africa T20 match, scheduled to be held at Barabati Stadium here on October 5, has been insured for Rs 20 crore, and Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has paid Rs 9 lakh to National Insurance Company towards premium for the insured amount, OCA sources said.
“We have insured the ground and other property along with the spectators with National Insurance Company Ltd for Rs 20 crore. Out of which a sum of Rs 8 crore is towards Standard fire and perils policy, Rs 7 crore for public liability insurance (spectators and visitors) and Rs 5 crore is for Special contingency insurance policy,” said OCA Secretary Asirbad Behera at a press conference today.
Ticket sale for the public will take place on October 1 and 3 at the Stadium, and OCA for the first time has introduced ‘seat number system’, Behera said.
The present seating capacity of Barabati Stadium is about 45,000, while a total of 44,490 tickets have been printed for this T20 match.
“Seats in various stands, excluding galleries will be numbered for the first time. Sale of around 13,500 tickets for the public will take place on October 1 and 3. One person can buy only two tickets,” informed Behera adding that 7,500 online tickets have already been sold out.
Tickets for Gallery 1, 2, 3 and 4 are priced at Rs 500 each, while that for gallery 6 and 7 will be sold at Rs 400 each. Some tickets of Gallery 6 would be available as ‘Players’ concession for Rs 200 each.
The prices of tickets for Special Enclosures have been fixed at Rs 2,000 while a ticket in corporate gallery has been priced Rs 3,000. Tickets at New Pavilion and AC Box (Gallery 4) would cost Rs 4000 and Rs 5000 respectively while ticket in Corporate Box has been fixed at Rs 7,000.
Both the teams will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on October 3 in chartered flight. The match will be played at 7 pm on October 5.
The players, match officials, BCCI officials will stay at Hotel Mayfair in Bhubaneswar. Elaborate security arrangements have been made at the hotel and in the Stadium.
