Srimandir at Puri will remain open for Devotees on Saturdays

Devotees can have the Darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra at Puri Srimandir on Satuday also. Earlier, it was getting opened from Monday to Friday for the Darshan of all.

Also, Temple Administration has extended the Darshan Period for two more Hours.

Devotees can now have darshan of the Holy Trinity from 7 am to 9 pm, which was 7 am to 7 pm earlier. But, Temple will remain close on Sundays for Sanitisation, SJTA Development Administrator Ajay Jena said.

The decision has been taken in a meeting of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administartion (STA), chaired by Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar over video conferencing on Wednesday.

However, Devotees will not be allowed to enter into the temple on the occasion of Ganesh Puja (September 10) and Biswakarma Puja (September 17). Also, it will remain closed for three days in October.

Srimandir was closed for Devotees since April 24 due to the outbreak of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic and it got opened on August 23’2021 for all devotees.
