Odisha to participate in China’s Travel Mart

Bhubaneswar, Dec 18: With a view to attract more foreign tourists, especially from South  East Asian Countries including China, a Chinese Delegation will visit the State, said Ma Zhanwu, Kolkata-based Consul General of China.

He assured to organise more travel marts in China to facilitate participation of eastern states with Odisha. This came up during talks between Ma Zhanwu and State Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda here.

Panda highlighted on tourism potential and cultural heritage of State. He said that Odisha’s Buddhist sites would attract more Chinese tourists and state tourism will organise a Road Show in China in order to show case the tourism potential of state.

He also said that Odissi dance, Raghurajpur Craft  village and Sand Art are some of the main attractions for Chinese tourists.
