BJD to hold State-wide Protests on Fuel Price Hike

Biju Janata Dal staged demonstration today against the Centre for hike in fuel prices and also price rise of commodities.

BJD leaders shall submit a memorandum to Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, as reported.

Earlier in a Press Conference BJD leader and Government’s Chief Whip, Pramila Mallick had said, BJD members will sit on a dharna in front of Raj Bhawan in the Capital City on Sunday and submit a memorandum to the Governor addressing it to the President of India’.

From November 1, BJD will hold State-wide protests, said Sr.BJD Leader Pramilla Mallick.

Addressing the Press yesterday BJD MLA Pratap Deb said, “Hike in  prices of petrol, diesel and LPG have burdened each and every household in the country. After long suffering due to Covid -19, everything was about to come back to normalcy and during this time, rise in the prices of essential commodities and fuel price hike added to the suffering of people. We shall not remain silent on the issue, rather raise voice in the public interest.
