Angul: Cyber fraudsters allegedly duped Rs 90,000 from Rosalin Behera, Tehsildar of Talcher in Angul dIstrict.
Behera became a victim of a cyber scam after receiving a deceptive message from an unknown number on her phone.
According to reports, she clicked on the suspicious link embedded in the message. This allowed the cyber criminals to access to her bank account.
Shortly after, she received a notification from her bank that Rs 90,000 had been debited from her account.
The tehsildar has lodged a complaint at the Talcher police station regarding the incident and an investigation is underway to track down the culprits.
