Odisha Govt to offer jobs to youth in both govt and pvt sectors: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Friday said that his government aims to provide jobs not only in the government sector, but also in the private sector.
“Arrangements have been made in State to employ more than 3.5 lakh youth,” he said while handing over the appointment letters to new recruits of nine departments at a ‘Nijukti Mela’ here.
Majhi asserted that Odisha will soon be among the fifth largest economies in the country.
He said It is very difficult to get a government job now. Even now, there are few government job vacancies.

“Common people come to government offices with many expectations. They have high hopes for the employees who have this job. It is now in your hands. They will request to get their work done. Then it will be your responsibility to work for the people,” he said.
Majhi said the new recruits that all the burdens of the grassroot people was now on their shoulders.
The Chief Minister asserted that the recruitment process has been intensified in the last 7 months.
“For a long time, for about 25 years, we were looking for government jobs under an ‘anti-people regime’. You have now been given the opportunity to work with an open heart. Many hopes of the people are with the new government. You will fulfil it,” he said.
Majhi said that the Prime Minister was working more than 18 hours for the development of the country and serving the people and under his leadership, the Odisha government is working continuously.
“I had said about filling the vacant posts in the review meeting held in the new year. During the election, we had said in the manifesto that 1.5 lakh jobs would be made in the government sector. In the last 7 months, more than 26,000 jobs have been given by organizing 7 recruitment fairs,” he added.
Today, more than 6300 new recruits in nine departments were given appointment letters.
“We will provide more than 65,000 jobs in the first 2 years. A new era of industrialization is about to begin in the state. All the vacant posts in the health department will be filled in the coming days,” he added.
Majhi also warned that his government will not tolerate corruption.
