Bhubaneswar: The heatwave in Odisha is likely to continue till May 14. The severe heat wave and humidity is disrupting the day-to-day lives of the people.
The IMD has said that a heatwave has been issued to Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balangir, Boudh and Sundargarh. However, in some districts of southern Odisha, rains due to kalabaisakhi can be expected. As many as five districts were issued a warning for heatwave.
Some places in western Odisha can record a high temperature of 43 degrees Celsius on May 12 and 13. However, changes in the temperature can be seen beyond that.
By May 15 the temperature is likely to lessen while the impact of Kalabaisakhi will be more pronounced said the IMD.
