Bhubaneswar: The city-based regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow warnings for rain in next seven days in Odisha.
As predicted by the weather department, thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind likely to occur from tomorrow and will continue till June 1.

- ORANGE WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph and heavy rainfall very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Koraput, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Gajapati.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with surface wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri.
