Gajapati: A youth died during physical test for Homeguard recruitment in Gajapati district of Odisha on Thursday. As many as 7 others also turned critical and admitted to hospital. The deceased has been identified as Sulant Mishal of Parisal village under Ramgiri police station limits.
As per reports, the physical test for the Home guard recruitment started this morning. While the physical test was going on in the morning on the two-kilometer road from Ranipenta to Padmapur, Sulant successfully passed the test. However, later he fell down and became critical.
He was immediately taken to the District Headquarter hospital in Paralakhemundi but there the doctor declared him dead. Other 7 people are also in critical condition. They have been admitted to the district headquarter hospital in Paralakhemundi.
