Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the heat wave condition, advisory has been issued to combat heat wave conditions in Odisha. An alert has been issued to remain cautious regarding the increase in temperature as it has been predicted by the MeT centre that the temperature will further rise in many districts of Odisha. It has been predicted that soon the mercury will soar to 40 degree Celsius in a few districts.
In the wake of the heat wave condition and predictions for further increase in mercury level, instructions have been given to take precautionary measures. The district administration has been asked to make the public aware. It has been advised not to go out in the scorching heat.
It is to be noted that as per the weather predictions, temperatures will further rise in the State. Temperatures will cross 40 degrees Celsius in various places in the state. Temperatures will rise in the next 4 to 5 days. Daytime temperatures will rise by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
The highest temperature recorded in Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh and Balangir was 37 degrees Celsius or more.
Daytime temperatures are expected to cross 40 degrees Celsius in these districts in the next 4 to 5 days. Similarly, night temperatures are likely to rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
The Regional Meteorological Center has predicted this. Meanwhile, the SRC has alerted the district collectors of all districts, keeping an eye on the situation.
