Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: The much-awaited Air Odisha would start its regular flights between Bhubaneswar and Jeypore in Odisha from January 18.
On Friday, the Air Odisha authorities conducted a trial run between the capital city of Bhubaneswar and Jeypore successfully.
The flight service will be available six days a week from Monday till Saturday and there will be only one flight daily between the two cities. Though the ticket price has not yet fixed, but one can book tickets by visiting company’s website www.airodisha.com, sources in the Air Odisha said.
The nine-seater flight will leave Bhubaneswar airport at 9 am and land at the Jeypore airstrip at 11 am daily and leave for Bhubaneswar at11.10 am and land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 12.40 pm.
Notably, Jeypore airstrip was opened in 1964, there were no regular flight services. Only the VVIPs of both State and Centre were using the airstrip on special occasions.
