Khurda, Mar 18: In a drastic measure, for allegedly violating pollution control rules, about 17 stone crusher mills at Khurda were sealed by a joint operation launched by the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) and Khurda district administration.
The crackdown was headed by the regional officer of OSPCB, along with a team of OSPCB and District administration staff, who sealed the mills.
Notably, most crusher units in Khurda were set up illegally as they did not follow the environment guidelines, said sources.
