Amidst ruthless cold waves, Barbati Jam-packed with cricket lovers from Midnight

Cuttack, Jan 16: Jam-packed lanes in front of the three ticket counters of Barbati Stadium in Cuttack today showed the craze of cricket fans who have been standing in queues since midnight to buy tickets for the India vs England ODI Match to be held on 19th of January.

While 10 platoons of police force have been deployed at near the counters to maintain law and order, CCTV camera have been installed along with putting up of barricades by the stadium authorities and Cuttack administration to continue a disciplined way of ticket selling at the counters.

Thought the cold wave condition in Cuttack deteriorated last night with mercury dipping to 10.6 degrees, disturbing normal life, the cricket fans seems unaffected with it, smoothly annoying the weather.

Ticket sale at the 3 counters stated early today at 9am. As per the OCA decision, one can buy a maximum of two tickets at the counters.

While digital transactions and other modes have also been made to help the public get away from the mass demonetization move. People buying tickets worth above Rs 2000 can pay via DD or Debit/Credit cards.

To be noted, out of 43,000 seats, tickets for 15,444 seats will be sold at the counters at Barbati on 16th and 17th of January, while the rest will be sold through online or OCA affiliated institutions and 25% of the total seats will be distributed by BCCI and sponsors.
