Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: The Plant Lovers’ Association is a non-profit organization committed to bring about a strong public awareness for their plant resources and generate a strong aesthetic sense amongst the public. It has been organizing the State Level Flower Show in collaboration with the Regional Plant Resources Centre and the Directorate of Horticulture every year. The next show, 29th, in a row is scheduled to be held on January 14 and 15 at the Ekamra Kanan, here.
As a part of its ongoing activities throughout the year, it also organizes an Annual Children’s Painting and Poster Competition on environmental theme. On invitation, students from KG to class X of most of the schools in Bhubaneswar, on an average over 800 students, participate in the competition. This year the said competition was held from 2.30pm to 4pm on Dec 11, Sunday at the IG Park here. Prizes to the successful participants will be distributed at 4pm on Jan 14, Saturday at the Ekamra Kanan, the venue of the flower show.
