Bhubaneswar, April 4: A medical team has reached Jamuguda village in Kashipur block of Rayagada district on Sunday to treat the villagers affected from the disease Anthrax.
As per reports, four people have died within eight days, under influence of the disease, in the village.
Anthrax is caused by bacterium Bacillus anthracis and most of the forms of the disease are lethal.
It can be transmitted through contact with infected meat and occur in three forms. Vaccines to cater the disease are available and some forms of the disease can be curbed through antibiotics.
