Jagatsinghpur, Aug 31: The apprehension of possible disturbances at the time of stevedoring operations at the Paradip port made the district administration deploy 20 platoons of police forces at the port.
After a face-off between the intra-ports transports dumper unions, the district administration took this decision especially at the restricted areas of the port. Rigorous efforts are been made on the part of the administration to resolve issues between the unions so that smooth functioning of stevedoring operations at the port takes place.
