Khordha: Tusharkanta Naik, ASI of Bolgarh Bankoi Police Station has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a complainant for removing a name from a case diary.
Based on reports, a trap was laid on May 23, 2025, wherein the ASI and Home Guard P K Sundaray were nabbed by a team of Odisha Vigilance for demanding and taking undue advantage (bribe) of Rs 10,000. The entire bribe money was recovered from the possession of the ASI and seized in the presence of police.
The vigilance team caught both of them red-handed during the deal. Later, the vigilance team searched ASI Tusharkanta’s house and took both of them to the Bhubaneswar Vigilance office for further investigation. Earlier, ASI Tusharkanta Naik was honored by the Khordha district police for his notable service.
