Athagarh, Nov 19 : A 12-hour bandh was enforced on Saturday morning at Athagarh by various poltical parties and organisation in protest of attack on a journalist by BJD workers and deteriorating law and order situation in town. This led to a mega road block by the activists from congress and BJP and various organisations which brought a halt to the vehicular movement in town.
The rouse activists were even seen hitting the bricks in many places, burning tyres on the road. Many shops and business organisations remained closed for the day, except, the educational institution and emergency services were allowed to run against the light of the shutdown.
It is said that the bandh to last till dusk.
