Cuttack, Mar 28: In connection to the alleged attack on a doctor on duty by an attendant of a patient, post graduate students and house surgeons of the SCB Medical College and Hospital staged a cease work stir which inturn has hampered the health services at the hospital. The officials have staged the cease work stir at casualty, emergency and ICU wards. A complaint has also been lodged at the Mangalabag police station on Monday regarding the same.
A patient from Jagatsinghpur named Malati Mohanty was admitted to the TB ward in the hospital. Unfortunately, while being treated she died on Monday. As a result, the relatives of Malati thrashed a junior doctor, Sameer Ranjan Behera and alleged his negligence in treatment.
