Konark, Nov 5: In yet another case of looting cash from ATM, unidentified robbers last night tried to loot cash from two ATMs of State Bank of India at Charichaka Bazaar in Konark, but failed in the attempt.
As per sources, though the miscreants failed in the loot attempt, they stole nine 12 volt batteries that were kept in the backyard of the ATM counter. As they failed to take away the hard disk of the CCTV cameras set up at the counter, they damaged the CCTV cameras before escaping from the spot.
When the locals spotted the two ATM machines in a broken condition, they informed the police following which the police rushed to the spot and began the investigation into the matter. The police seized the hard disk of the CCTV cameras.
