Malkaniri, Oct 28: An audio tape by CPI (Maoist) East Division Committee secretary Kailash has been released holding Chief Ministers of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh responsible for the encounter in Bejing forest in Malkangiri district on October 24 where 27 Maoists were killed.

Besides blaming the two CMs, he has threatened that the SPs of Malkangiri and Visakhapatnam Rural will face consequences due to the recent encounter.

Kailash alleged that the ‘Operation Green Hunt’ has been undertaken by Odisha government with an agenda to begin the mining work again in the area for the benefits of the industrialists. He has further alleged that top Maoist cadre Ramakrishna alias RK is missing and is under police custody.

He said in the audio tape that despite the deaths of top Maoist leaders in the encounter, the Maoists have not become weak and will continue to fight.

Notably, the anti-Maoist operation was launched on October 24 in a joint operation of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Police in Malkangiri where 24 Maoists were killed in the encounter. However, on October 27, four more Maoists were gunned down in Panasput forest in the district.

Besides, a rally was also organized by Maoists supporters on October 27 in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh protesting against the joint operation.
