Pune/Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: Quite a topsy-turvy 1st day at the India Australia first test match in Pune, While Umesh’s four wickets help India grow, Mitchell Starc’s 57 helped the Aussies reach 256 on the first day at stumps.

Though after loosing 9 quick wickets and to in a test match, the Aussies seemed a bit disappointed, but never mind, there is still a wicket remaining with Starc at the crease and moreover there is always a second innings.

The Kangaroos were 119 for 1, and they had edged ahead, but a steady fall of wickets saw the Guest’s slide down to 205/9. But then was the entry of the long handled Batsman Starc, whose massive stream of Sixes and Fours helped the team reach a 250 mark. However, Matt Renshaw’s 68, and David Warner’s 38 has also fueled to the contribution.

Indian bowlers seemed quite in form today dripping wicket after wicket. While Umesh Yadav’s 4/ 32 has grabbed the Aussies to slow down, Ashwin’s 2/34, jadeja’s 2/24 and Jayant’s 1/13 has given an explicit angle to the Match.

Australia will resume the day tomorrow with Starc and Hazlewood on crease.

Best Moment of the Day: Indian wicket keeper, actually should say goal keeper, flew to his right like a bird to pluck a one-handed catch and send O’Keefe back to the pavilion for Duck.
