Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana from the current financial year 2024-2025 in Odisha. This was informed by the Minister of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) on Sunday.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Gopabandhu Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be signed soon. As many as three crore people of Odisha will be given unique health cards. Under the scheme, around 27,000 beneficiaries will be able to avail the health benefits from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, throughout India, informed Mukesh Mahaling, Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
He added that, all the beneficiaries above 70 years of age can avail the health benefits under the Ayushman Bharat Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) after their socio-economic status verification.
Putting an end to all the speculations about the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Odisha, Health Minister said that now people of Odisha staying in other states can also avail the benefits of the scheme.
