Cuttack, Aug 6: The Orissa High Court on July 4 had given the Industrialist Trailokya Mishra, his son Sabyasachi and wife Ashamanjari interim protection from arrest till July 29 in the Lopamudra Mishra dowry torture case and had directed the police to submit the case diary before that date.

However, the Court rejected the anticipatory bail petition of the victim’s father-in-law Trailokya Mishra.

Notably, Lopamudra had filed a dowry harassment case against the three in the Mahila Police station in Bhubaneswar on June 14 and had earlier filed a case against them in the Kharavela Nagar Police Station in April this year.

As per the information received from the victim, she had been physically and mentally tortured by her husband Sabyasachi since their marriage in 2006 and she has even accused her husband of making an attempt of wife-swapping on her.

Commissionerate police on June 17 had issued a notice to Trailokya Mishra, his wife and son asking them to be present physically before the Kharvela Nagar police by June 22. The notice had been pasted on their house in Bhubaneswar as the three are still absconding.
