Balasore: Another case of newborn stealing has come to the fore from the district headquarters hospital in Balasore. Two women were caught by locals while stealing a baby girl from the hospital.
According to information, the incident occurred at around 2:30 am when the women snatched a 7 day old baby girl from the mother’s lap while she was sleeping in the maternity ward. When the mother screamed, the women dropped the baby and tried to flee. The baby girl was taken from a woman from Bhogarai Arubahati area.
The accused women, one from Kharagpur and the other from Balasore area, were arrested by the Town police after being handed over by the locals. The Police are investigating the matter.
