BAMS and BHMS Counseling from November 9 by OJEE

Bhubaneswar, Nov 8: Counseling process for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and for Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) will be conducted by Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) from November 9.

As per the notification issued by OJEE, between November 9 and 13, the online registration, filling of choice and finalizing the choice will be done and the BHMS and BAMS rank holders can register their names on the site www.ojee.nic.in starting from this Wednesday.

November 15 has been fixed as the date for publishing the first list of temporary seat allotment and document verification of students will be conducted on November 16 and 17.

On the other hand, the second list of temporary seat allotment will be published on November 18 and the documents of the students will be verified the next day.

The final selection list will be published on November 20. The allotted students will have to report at their respective institutes between November 21 and 25.

Currently, only four colleges in the State- Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalya of Puri, Government Ayurvedic College of Bolangir, KATS Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Ankushpur and SSN Ayurvedic College in Paikamal are offering BAMS degree. While the SSN College can admit 50 students, the other three colleges can admit 30 students each.

Three colleges offer the BHMS degree in the State. The three colleges are Dr Abhin Chandra Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital in Bhubaneswar with intake capacity of 50 students, Utkalmani Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital in Rourkela with 25 seats and Orissa Medical College of Homeopathy and Research in Sambalpur with intake capacity of 25.
