Sonepur: In a tragic incident at least two persons were killed while 8 turned critical after a band party vehicle overturned in Subarnapur district of Odisha. The accident took place near Hardokhol village on the Balangir-Sonepur road.
The identity of the deceased persons is yet to be ascertained. The band party vehicle and the musicians were all from the Tura area of Bargarh.
As per reports, 25 people from Bargarh were going to join and play band at a wedding party in Boudh when their vehicle overturned near Hardokhol village after skidding off the road. As a result, out of the 25 people, two died on the spot while 8 are reported to be in critical condition.
All the critically injured have been admitted to the Sonepur district headquarters hospital.
Meanwhile, it is reported that people inside the vehicle are being rescued with the help of a cutting machine as they are stuck inside the vehicle.
On receiving information, Sonepur police have reached the spot and started investigation.
