Bhubaneswar, Oct 29: The Central Committee of CPI (Maoist) has called for a bandh in Odisha and other 4 states-Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and Maharashtra on November 3, protesting the killing of around 28 Maoists during anti-Maoist operation at Andhra-Odisha border.
Yesterday, an audio tape by CPI (Maoist) East Division Committee secretary Kailash had been released holding Chief Ministers of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh responsible for the encounter in Bejing forest in Malkangiri district on October 24.
Notably, the anti-Maoist operation was launched on October 24 in a joint operation of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Police in Malkangiri where 24 Maoists were killed in the encounter. However, on October 27, four more Maoists were gunned down in Panasput forest in the district.
