Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: OPCC chief, Prasad Harichandan yesterday said the 12-hour bandh called by the party in the State today is a criticism to both the Odisha and Chhaatisgarh State governments and a solution to the Mahanadi water issue will come out.
Ruling BJD and Opposition BJP alleged the Bandh called by the Congress as a ‘political stunt’ to hide the intra-party dispute. Meanwhile, ruling Surya Narayan Patro, BJD Vice President and Prithviraj Harichandan, BJP General Secretary said that the bandh being called holds to be as illogical and Political analysts see the intra-party fight as the main reason behind the poor political gain of the Congress. Prasanna Mohanty, a political analyst refuted these statements and spoke in favor of Congress.
