BCCI dropped six players of Odisha’s under-19 cricket team for age fudging:

Bhubaneswar: September 30: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dropped six players of Odisha under-19 squad declared for Vinoo Mankad One-Day Zonal League (East Zone) Trophy for age fudging.

The players who have been dropped from the squad are- Suryakanta Samal, Harsit Rathore, Khyama Sagar Bal, Suraj Singh and Pratyush Mohapatra. BCCI decided to drop the players after it found the age certificate submitted by players did not match with the documents submitted by them.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will send new players to replace the dropped ones, sources said. OCA is now under CBI scanner after there was an allegation that 36 players have manipulated their age to play under-19 matches.
