BCCI U-19 Women’s Cricket c’ship: Odisha, Bengal qualify from East Zone

DHANBAD, SEPT 29: Odisha and Bengal qualified from the East Zone in the final round of BCCI Under-19 Women’s cricket championship.
After completion of the zonal league here on Tuesday, Odisha emerged as the champion with the highest 14 points followed by Bengal with 10 points.
Though Jharkhand too earned 10 points with two wins and an abandoned match, Bengal was adjudged second on the basis of better net run rate than Jharkhand.
In their last league match on Tuesday, Jharkhand beat Tripura by six wickets while Bengal defeated Assam by 72 runs.
Odisha had trounced both Bengal and Jharkhand earlier in the league.
