Bhadrak violence: Curfew relaxed for 14 hours, compensation declared

Bhadrak, Apr 25: Even over 2 weeks after the violence, the Bhadrak DA continues the curfew in the district. Though Bhadrak situation seems developing back slowly but is steady. In view of the present situation, today the DA has relaxed the curfew for 14 hrs i.e. from 6 am to 8 pm.

But the night curfew still seems intact, to prevent from any untoward situation.

In the meanwhile, the state govt. has declared the special compensation that is to be provided to the victims of the Bhadrak violence. As of sources, the victims can get a maximum monetary assistance of Rs 2 lakh, while a minimum of Rs 15,000 will be entitled. As per an official report, nearly Rs 9 crore of property has been damaged during the violence.

In the first phase of the compensating the victims, nearly 440 persons will be compensated.
