Bhubaneswar: March 04: Biju Janata Dal has decided to launch its Programme ‘‘Gharey Gharey Shankha: Matamata Diyanti Apana, Palana Karanti Naveen’ from March 5, the 103 birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik. This new Programme of BJD will be launched by its Supremo and Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik.
As said by the BJD leaders in the Press Meet, this is the Programme to get the opinion and advice of the people of the State to expedite the ungoing development of Odisha.
For this Programme, a specific Form has been developed and the members of the BJD women wing will visit the households & hand over printed forms to collect the views of the people over the government’s performance and their expectation from it if it comes to power in the fifth consecutive term. BJD spokes person Sambit Patra said, ‘The Form is divided into three parts. Part One deals with the public opinion on the government’s performance, the second part deals again with the opinion of the people on what more they expect from the government if it comes to power in the next term and the third part seeks suggestion from the public as to what demands the party to put forth before the central government’.
‘Under this Programme, the opinions of the public will be elicited before the preparation of the Party’s manifesto on the eve of the coming general elction’, said Arun Sahoo while briefing the media person here at Bhubaneswar.
The Press Meet was addressed at BJD party headquarters by senior MLA and BJD general secretary Arun Sahu, Biju Mahila Janata Dal president Minati Behera, BJD general secretary (Media Affairs) Manas Ranjan Mangaraj, party spokesperson Sasmit Patra and general secretary Bijay Nayak.
