Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: A grand celebration will be orgainsed in Paradip to mark the Birth Centenary year of legendary Biju Patnaik on March 5 by the Biju Patnaik Memorial Trust.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Union Food Minister Ramvilash Paswan and JD(U) President Sharad Yadav will be among a host of dignitaries who will congregate in Paradip to participate in the celebrations, said Cooperation and Excise Minister Dr Damodar Rout has said.
He said Paradip was chosen as the venue as the Port was established by the Legendary leader.
The event will be totally non-political event and is intended to remember the visionary on his birth centenary year.
He said a mobile exhibition van will travel different areas of the State with photos and information on the life of Biju Babu while a photo exhibition is being organized and souvenir published.
Former MP Prabhat Samantaray, Paradip Municipality Chairman Basanta Biswal, former Chairman Gobinda Tarai, former Chairperson Manjulata Jena were present at the press briefing.
