Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: The formal election of President of ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will be held on February 28, a notification issued by party stated.
The election process would start on February 26 with submission of nomination papers and would continue till the result is declared on 28th February, party notification said.
Election of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as new President is just a formality as he as only candidate will file nominations, party sources said.
The State executive would consist of 81 members, while the State Council would comprise 354 members.
