Bhubaneswar, Apr 3: Leading to recent irregularities relating to Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), the state BJP yesterday suggested of using ballot paper rather. Speaking to the media, senior BJP party leader Debasis Nayak said, of a recent irregularity report of EVMs at Madhya Pradesh, it is purely insecure to use the techs. If doubts arise, surely the parties will go for ballot papers.
Tampering of EVMs leads to people’s vote for their own party going in favour of another.
Notably, during an inspection in Madhya Pradesh the day before, a tampered EVM was found, where, when a button with Samajwadi Party sign was pressed, the vote went in favour of BJP, said Nayak stating it as a shameful incident.
