Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: Farmer suicide issue continue to hit the Assembly session again as one more farmer commits suicide consuming poison.
As the day started with the house assembling to start the discussion about today’s business, BJP legislator Rabi Naik and others went to the well of the house and started shouting slogans over farmer suicide cases in Odisha. Unable to run the house, speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the proceedings of the house for one hour.
In the beginning of the question hour during the second session, the house was again adjourned till 3 pm as the BJP legislators marched again to the well and shouted slogans.
Talking about the farmer suicides, opposition leader Narasingha Mishra also dint fall back. Talking about the issue, he said that, in the recent past, four farmers have committed suicide as a reason of crop failure and loan burden. Not only this, he also raised the issue of Boudh farmer death. Later he went on to stating, that the speaker should call for an all party meeting to talk about the issue.
