Bhubaneswar, Mar 17: In connection to the farmer’s suicide case, on Thursday, the BJP demanded resignation of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Pradeep Maharathy. Th party alleged that the minister is not delivering his duties in a proper manner and so requested the Odisha CM to urgently relieve Maharathy from his post. At a press meet, BJP spokesperson, Sajjan Sharma stated that the minister neither met the family members of the deceased farmer nor did he take any proper action, instead he put the blame on the District Collector who shifted the blame on to the Tehsildar or the Assistant Agriculture Officer. Even the family members of the deceased farmer are also being held responsible.
