Bhubaneswar: April 07: National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Amit Shah today released the Party’s Manifesto for Odisha here at Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Shah said, ‘BJP has proved worse than Congress in Odisha. Bureaucrats run the state, who does not understand the feelings of people.’
He further added, ‘Odisha has great potentiality, which has not been explored yet. It is full of natural resources, but its people are poor. It is also lagging behind in housing, drinking water, education, health and many other sectors against the national average’.
Releasing the BJP manifesto for Odisha, Shah said, it is based on nine points. These are nine pillars for the development of New Odisha.
In its Manifesto, BJP assured implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and PM-KISAM Scheme in the State, besides PESA Act within three months of coming to power. Manifesto assures loans to farmers at zero per cent interest and Rs.1 Lakh crore will be spent on the irrigation sector.
It will also provide 1.5 times of the input cost as MSP for all eligible crops, besides introducing Mobile Dhaan procurement vans to facilitate the collection and paddy procurement.
Manifesto has also promised to facilitate the clearance of dues owed to the sugarcane farmers by the sugar mills in the first 150 days of forming the government.
BJP commits to enact a legislation to award capital punishment to those involved in rape of girls aged 15 years or younger. Strict security measures will be taken in all residential schools and shelter homes.
As said in Manifesto, it will introduce the Shaila Bala Two-wheeler Yojana to provide a two-wheeler free of cost to all meritorious girl students upon completion of Plus-two education.
BJP also promised to return the duped money to the depositors and send the chit fund accused to jail.
BJP also promised a metro rail between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Manifesto also promised to establish a Skill Odisha Fund of Rs.3,500 crore to skill 20 lakh youth under the Odisha Skill Development Programme over the next five years.
Amit Shah said, ‘We promise to provide the youth of the state the opportunity for self-employment through a revolving fund of Rs.3000 crore which will facilitate loans of up to Rs.3 lakh at one percent interest rate’.
BJP Manifesto promises to support innovative business ideas and nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth through ‘Dharmapad Start-up fund of Rs.1000 crore.
Odisha will have Assembly and Lok Sabha polls simultaneously in four phases from April 11.
