Angul, Nov 26: An elderly woman named Budhei Sahoo died when a bonfire lit by her inside the house where she was sleeping broke out into flames. The mishap took place at Bhagamunda village under Kishore Nagar police limits here.
As there was chilling cold outside, Sahoo lit the bonfire to have some warmth in the house. Noticing the fire, the nearby locals immediately informed the Bamur Fire Station following which fire extinguishers ushered in to blow out the flames and fire fighters rescued Sahoo in a critical state. The lady was brought in to the Kishore Nagar community health centre where unfortunately the doctors declared her brought dead.
