Nayagarh, Aug 11: Today morning around 12 people were seriously injured when a bus on its way to Kurala from Chhamundia carrying 20 passengers on board fell off road into the Mahanadi River near Dankarisahi under Gania block of Nayagarh district. Immediately all the victims were taken to the nearby Gania hospital. On a later basis, five who were critical were shifted to Nayagarh district headquarters hospital.
Notably, due to a mechanical mishap in which the axle of the bus broke, it went out of control and fell into the river. The bus was partially submerged in water after the dive.
